Venus in Scorpio – The Seductive Lover

Venus in Scorpio – The Magnetic & Passionate Lover.

She will tear at you, open your heart and make you drunk on kisses. Though much desired she gives in with her heart rarely – she defends it for she knows how intense real love is. And anything less she will never accept. She may have a reputation as a seducer or a leader-on-of-lovers because many love her and she requires more than most can give. The only way she can love is right to the depths of the psyche, tearing through your soul leaving you gasping and joyous and broken in the best way. But if you aren’t up to that she will never let you in. She may even secretly scorn you for your shallow, pathetic ideas on love – love is all or nothing. Her intensity provokes you to greater awareness. Best not to be faint of heart, you will be transformed by this way of loving. She can be jealous and provoking, don’t mock or trifle with her. She won’t laugh it off. She will be wounded, deeply and may not love again. Or, she will wound your heart right back. You will bear the mark through all subsequent loves and secretly, you’ll never forget her.

    1. Ah! You Scorpions are a passionate bunch and a more than a little notorious with good reason…but when it gets down to it the Scorpio passion and intensity comes from the deepest understanding of love and commitment. You don’t surrender easily – because you have so much to give! Thanks for dropping by 🙂

    1. Scorpio demands complete connection. (I have a Scorpio Ascendant, this means I come across on first impression as a Scorpio and also that Scorpio energy is my go-to method of dealing with others) Scorpio is quite fearless as well, the hesitations of others and the ‘I’m not sure’ are confusing to the committed, focused and passionate Scorpio. Scorpio love is powerful, we need to be gentle with others who need a little more time to get there (even if you don’t understand why they don’t just react and stand up for what they want!). When those of us with many planets or points in Scorpio can learn to be a little gentler with out beloveds we become more powerful than ever. And…apparently, even when I THINK I’m being ‘not so intense’ I’m still more intense than most, ha! May you be loved 🙂

  1. Thank you for writing this piece, you put into words what I could not. “I can’t surrender until I know”. I feel like I have spent my life waiting to see who has the depth patience to nuture along side me the seed of love. It takes more than can be seen and one will have to be willing to dive In the dark of the abyss but fearing not as we are together understanding, trusting and unfolding. I can’t stay on the surface I need you to want to go down into yourself/myself and pull what’s in the dark Into the light and expand who we are

  2. Thank you Morjarie for your lovely comment. Owning that Scorpio power is important and balancing it with the wisdom of the opposite sign – Taurus – helps us to be steadier in the expression of deeply transformative power. Us impassioned Scorpio types have to work hard to use the power in a way that both creates deep authenticity but doesn’t lock us into cycles of impassioned volatility…at least that’s been my journey so far 🙂 Revere and respect your need for full connection (Venus in Scorpio), and if you know your Moon sign you can pour energy into that story (e.g. Cancer or Gemini etc.) to nourish your emotional needs and create a sense of solid security too. xo

  3. Hi Morjarie, eesh just saw this! Must’ve slipped under my radar as December got mad! It’s hard to read the chart in any detail without it in front of me…but with all that Scorpio energy in your personal planets you have a huge does of Scorpio power charging through your 9th house. You identify your core self, mental perspective, drives, passion, affection and romance and reputation/recognition as being all bound up together in the intense and powerful sign of Scorpio! The 9th house is all about the highest goal, the vision and the philosophy, combined with the Sag moon it’s likely you tend to see your whole life as a kind of crusade towards your ultimate vision. With the moon in Sag and the stellium in the 9th house there is also a strong ray of Archer energy. This should tend to balance some of the severity that can be associated with Scorpio although it seems like the moon is in the 12th house? You probably get very focused and then laugh stuff off all of a sudden, leaving others a little confused (slightly terrified haha!). But this ability to reflect playfully on your core drive for intense experience helps ensure you do a bit of self care and don’t just spend all your time transforming yourself and the universe around you! Cap asc gives you a very pragmatic and determined appearance to others. You can wear your Capricorn persona as a mask to get your real agenda – revolution – past others. You may find relief in this persona and if you use it as the door into the world for all that Scorpio power you may find you are able to create sound structures for the change you long to see. ❤

  4. You are one of the few astrologers who did not make us with Venus in Scorpio so scary their any other sigh reading it would run for their life. Some others even scare me, You are spot on. I think I open up more quickly maybe cos of my sun in Sagittarius. But it’s not easy for Venus in Scorpio to find for filling relationships as the emotional concoction we so crave is hard to find and I can’t settle for much less. And my dreamy romantic moon in Pisces does not help.Along with my realistic Capricorn rising that won’t let me lie to my self for too long before getting me to see it for what it is. Thank you for the post.

    1. Thank you Anjelia for taking the time to let me know that this touched your heart & spoke to your intense, passionate love experience as a Venus in Scorpio. Your Sagittarius Sun definitely makes your core self more prone to expansiveness, optimism and ready forgiveness. I do aim to see all aspects and signs as having something unique and precious to bring to our lives – this is not to deny the challenges that a had aspect or traditionally “difficult” placement can bring but I do try to see these things from a non-judgemental stance. Sometimes this world needs passion, other times peace, caution, discretion. We all bring something different – if we use these powers consciously we can grow and express it clearly and with integrity. It is when they remain unconscious or we try to deny them, when we judge them, that they can become problematic. Love Asha

  5. Thank you for your comment. I find astrology so fascinating when you get your natal chart read by a professional. It gives you so much insight into your character And if the astrologer is good he/she will advice you how to live with the challenging aspects of your chart. It has helped me. If you don’t mind me asking a question, what would be compatible sign for someone like my self with a Venous in Scorpio, sun in Sagi, a Capricorn rising and a moon in Pisces. Thank you so much for your time.

    1. Yes – this is how I use astrology too and why it is important that readers understand how unique they are and the intuition of the astrologer is what binds it all together – to really work for them! I have found that – especially looking at relationship or composite charts – there is rarely such thing as an incompatible couple. It’s about what the relationship is for (that’s when we combine the chart) and working with that. Some relationships are tough but worth it. Others are easy and sweet but fizzle out – lack of structure. Aquarius and Sagittarius very generally speaking get along like a house on fire but they can struggle to commit coz it flows so nicely. What we all need is someone or someones who challenge us on our stuff, support us when we are tired or weak, hold us when we cry and share similar goals about how we want life to go. Someone we can communicate with – not the same as speaking to! Your Moon in Pisces makes you deeply sensitive and easily hurt, your partner will need to understand that – they may have a practi-Capricorn moon. Does that make you incompatible? No, it means sometimes when it comes to sense and emotion you guys will be working at cross purposes. But they will also dry you up, comfort you and get you on your feet again. I find it best to look at relationship once it is in swing or if you gave a specific person’s details – other than that I find saying Aquarius and Virgo never work (not true) etc is too fatalistic. I hope that helps?!

  6. Thank you. I am single at the moment. One astrologer told me a good match for eg would be someone with the Sun in Cancer and Sagittarius rising. But you are right If 2 people are willing to compromise and work on their relationship it can work.

    1. Yes that would work well but there are so many options! I go mad over Scorpios. ..never forget em (12th to 1st house). Archers well adore em and we are forever best buds but all my fixed elements ultimately mean I need more someone who’s around consistently. Taurus moon in the 7th house makes being a freewheeling Aqua a challenge some times!

  7. Beautiful description!!
I have my Venus in Scorpio. Since I am aware of this, i understand myself and my actions so much better. We are driven by passion, in all areas in life. We give our all, and expect all in return.

Intensity can be scary to others, maybe overwhelming. But as long as someone hasnt experience love with a Venus in Scorpio, someone does not really understand what love can mean.

Our greatest problem, at least mine, is the believe in destiny. If I sense a higher purpose between us, a path that was meant to be, I idealize the person. However, we choose who we want to give the power to. We choose who can touch our soul. To believe in the love that transforms your life, to seek for the one that stops your world for a moment, i am out there, searching. When I find you, dont give in, it is the haunt after all, the sense I will never really have you.

  8. Hello Asha, I really appreciated this article. I have my sun, ascendant, mercury, jupter, pluto , and venus in scorpio all in the first house and I’m starting to learn more about the scorpio energy. I’ve yet to experience this passionate love for others or anything else throughout my life but I believe I will when I least expect it.

    1. So glad you enjoyed this! Becoming aware of our astrological nature is a huge part of working with our power consciously. It doesn’t matter what stars were given you, it’s how we use them to live with love and compassion in this world. Scorpio energy can take a long time to unfold because it is often rigidly restricted or controlled by that famous Scorpio cool. Having the courage to express it is the supreme challenge of this powerful sign. Allow it to unfold gently…Scoprio is water in power – like a Tsunami! Bless your path to love 💖

  10. Loved your description of Venus in Scorpio! I find that people forget that while our nature is as described by astrologers, we have the opportunity to transform our nature to make it better. Through every challenge I have faced in life, there has been rebirth with a new powerful lesson. Through exposure to other people, work, friendships and overall living experiences, we acquire “adaptive behavior” which can help us shape our nature to become stronger and helpful individuals. As you have said, all signs are good and the key is to understand your personal chart to work with yourself. Thanks for posting. You have a new follower!
If possible, what are your thoughts on my chart?
